The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, confirmed on Monday afternoon via her social media profile that the access to Teide National Park has now been reopened, following its closure due to adverse weather conditions and the pre-warning for snowfall issued by the Government of the Canary Islands, which has since been lifted.

Nonetheless, Dávila advises the public travelling to Teide to exercise the utmost caution to prevent any incidents.

“Let us appreciate the stunning scenery that Teide offers us, but with the utmost responsibility and caution,” she stated on the X social platform.

The island’s road service has been diligently working to remove the snow accumulation and clear the landslides on the impacted routes, which had previously hindered the removal of access restrictions to the national park, as indicated in a statement by the insular corporation.
