One individual has lost his life and another, aged 34, has sustained moderate injuries following a vehicle plunge down a hillside in the Subida al Area Recreativa El Contador, located in the municipality of Arico (Tenerife). This was reported by the Coordinating Centre for Emergency and Security of 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in the aforementioned location, where teams from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched. Upon their arrival at the scene, they could sadly confirm the death of one man.
They also provided assistance to another man, aged 34, who was initially reported to have moderate trauma. He was subsequently transported in an ambulance from the SUC to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital for further care.
Personnel from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium also arrived at the accident site, securing the vehicle and moving it off the roadway. Additionally, members of the Civil Guard were present to manage traffic and prepare the necessary report.
