Tenerife Science and Technology Park (PCTT) reinforces its role as a catalyst for technological and business advancement on the island through a series of pivotal initiatives that address the current demands for innovation, training, and development of enterprises. Noteworthy projects include the Centre of Excellence for Development and Innovation (CEDeI), the establishment of a new site in Barranco Grande, the CARE R&D&I projects, and the forthcoming iteration of the acclaimed TF Invierte programme.
The CEDeI programme remains a benchmark in the training of highly skilled professionals in its leadership module. Its distinctive design collaborates closely with businesses, ensuring that the education provided to participants aligns precisely with current and future demands of the job market in scientific and technological fields. This model facilitates the development of a talent pool in the local economic landscape. The skills that participants have requested encompass: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technologies, Quantum Computing, Earth Sciences and Sustainability, Biotechnology, Biomedicine and Health, Cosmos Sciences, Creative Industries, and Industry 4.0.
In its dedication to enlarging spaces dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, PCTT has revealed plans for the impending launch of a new site in Barranco Grande. This facility will feature modern and technologically advanced infrastructure aimed at establishing a hub for technology-driven enterprises and the creative industries.
Through this initiative, PCTT addresses the increasing need for collaborative and specialised working environments, nurturing a setting conducive to the creation, growth, and strengthening of innovative business projects.
The CARE programmes (High Business Performance Centres) represent a significant investment by the PCTT and the School of Industrial Organisation (EOI) focusing on digitalisation and the enhancement of technical skills within the business realm.
This initiative aims to heighten the competitiveness of SMEs and self-employed individuals on the island through tailored training and mentorship.
The CARE programme offers a flexible pathway that integrates mandatory workshops, optional group sessions, and personalised mentoring, adapting to the unique requirements of each participant.
CARE aims to bolster the innovation ecosystem in Tenerife, equipping enterprises with the tools and resources essential for enhancing their competitiveness in global marketplaces, including promoting the Circular Economy.
The TF Invierte programme, a hallmark in fostering entrepreneurship in Tenerife, is gearing up for its next edition in 2025, aimed at supporting high-potential projects. TF Invierte provides training, consultancy, and access to investors, serving as a launchpad for startups and entrepreneurs seeking funding and visibility. The upcoming edition will further promote collaboration with the private sector regarding financing.
Through these initiatives, the Tenerife Science and Technology Park is solidifying its role as a reference point in fostering innovation, talent development, and economic progress on the island. From the inauguration of a new site in Barranco Grande, through the promotion of CEDeI and the CARE programmes, to the support of startups via TF Invierte, PCTT reaffirms its commitment to advancing Tenerife in the digital age.
These initiatives enable the strengthening of the local business framework, generate skilled employment opportunities, and attract investment, positioning the island as a pivotal destination for technological and innovative development at both national and international levels.
