Fate has deemed it necessary for the Canary Islands to once again take centre stage in the life of photographer Sergio Lardiez (Madrid, 1984), who has departed from the Peninsula to establish himself in the Archipelago, particularly in Tenerife. It was within the Canary Islands where, “as per the most widely accepted version in my family,” he reveals, “I had my initial encounter with photography when, at the age of three or four, I grabbed a camera and threw it straight to the ground at Jameos del Agua in Lanzarote.”
