SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE December 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Parliament of the Canary Islands hasDismissed the request for reconsideration submitted by PSOE and NC-BC, who sought to postpone the budget discussions of the autonomous community, which will now proceed this afternoon following the lunch recess.
This decision was disclosed by the president of the Chamber, Astrid Pérez, following a meeting lasting just over half an hour of the Board and the Board of Spokespersons, amid protests from social groups outside the Chamber.
The two opposition parties have expressed concerns that the budget proposal contains amendments from the quadripartite coalition that signify alterations to the social services legislation and lean towards the privatisation of the home assistance service; hence, they reserve the right to file two appeals with the Constitutional Court.
