The mural expressing support for the Palestinian people, situated on the outer wall of the Manolo Santaella sports centre in Puerto de la Cruz, was vandalised during the early hours of Monday. The piece, crafted by the Portuguese artist Alexander Carballo, was discovered adorned with blue graffiti and phrases that were derogatory and opposed to the original message of peace and harmony that the BDS Association and the Department of Participation aimed to commemorate at the unveiling of the artwork, which took place on 4th November.
