The island of La Gomera has experienced peak wind gusts nearing 140 kilometres per hour as the storm ‘Dorothea’ swept through the archipelago, particularly in the locality of Arure, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency.
Other areas have also been impacted, including Agulo in La Gomera, which recorded gusts of 135 km/h, alongside El Pinar, Puntagorda, and Frontera on the islands of El Hierro and La Palma, respectively, each reaching 105 km/h.
Since last evening, over a hundred incidents have been reported across various locations in the archipelago, predominantly involving road obstructions, landslides, and issues with power supply, affecting just over 9,500 subscribers in Tenerife.
