Teide Hikes Suspended Amid Wind Advisory

In response to the wind warning issued by the Government of the Canary Islands on Tenerife, the Cabildo has decided to prohibit pedestrian access to the trails within Teide National Park, effective from 00:00 this Saturday. This measure aims to prevent further rescues similar to those that have occurred in recent months involving groups who ascend illegally or without the proper equipment to navigate the challenging terrain at higher altitudes.
