The Canarian Police have apprehended a 56-year-old individual in La Matanza de Acentejo (Tenerife) who is suspected of discharging a firearm at a vehicle travelling along the TF-217 motorway.
The arrested person faces charges for alleged attempted homicide and damage, as stated by the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security. They reported that officers were summoned by the occupants of the vehicle after they were struck by multiple shots from a weapon.
Officers identified damage consistent with bullet impacts on the back window and the luggage rack. Following the necessary investigations, the suspected individual involved in the incident was located.
Additionally, a 4.5mm air rifle, a compressed air pistol of the same calibre, a serrated knife with a 13-centimetre blade, and pepper spray were confiscated.
Following the arrest, the relevant procedures were undertaken for further processing to the judicial authority.
