DC. OO. has reorganised the strike in road passenger transport and has cancelled the day planned for today, but retains the remainder of the announced schedule, which includes the upcoming 9th of December and the 23rd of the same month, from which it will become indefinite.
The union stated yesterday that it is continuing with the mobilisations and is only suspending today’s strike day, “which was arranged in a different context”, whilst keeping the other communicated dates in effect, to which new actions will soon be added, including further strike calls.
This announcement follows the decision by CGT last Tuesday to cancel its strike schedule, which had coincided with that of the Workers’ Commissions, in a bid to demand early retirement for drivers, similar to the arrangement recently attained by groups such as forest firefighters, without incurring financial reductions.
This strike within the road transport subsector was jointly initiated by CC. OO. and UGT, featuring an agreed timetable and a collaborative strike committee.
