A significant traffic congestion on the southern Tenerife motorway, the TF-1, is severely impeding vehicles en route to Santa Cruz de Tenerife at present. The cause, as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands Government (CECOES) 1-1-2, was a multiple-vehicle collision that took place early Thursday morning within one of the tunnels in Güímar.
Concerning the occurrence, according to 1-1-2, five vehicles were involved. Emergency services from Tenerife Firefighters, Civil Guard, and the Island Council’s Highway personnel are currently on-site.
Furthermore, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) has sent an ambulance, which has so far treated an individual suffering from minor injuries.
