The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council’s Department of Mobility and Universal Accessibility has established that 80% of minimum services will be available for the urban transport bus routes operated by Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife SA (Titsa), in response to the nation-wide strike planned for Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.
Consequently, the 29 lines servicing the capital municipality, which transport over 930,000 passengers each month, will see their regular schedules decreased from 179 to 142 on the strike days, with these minimum services maintained at 80%.
The department headed by Evelyn Alonso notes that certain areas in the municipality do not have alternative transport options other than taxis, which is why some routes will continue to operate at 100% capacity. These routes include lines 909, 916, 917, 940, 944, 945, 946, 947, 971, and 975.
For interurban transport, the Cabildo of Tenerife has set minimum services at 75%, mirroring the provisions made by the La Laguna City Council for its urban transport, as reported by Titsa on its website , where you can find the most recent updates regarding the strike announcement.
