Commencing today, the Santa Cruz City Council is implementing various alterations to the traffic regulations on 25 de Julio Avenue. The segment between Méndez Núñez Street and Pi y Margall Street leading to Plaza de Los Patos will be closed to vehicles due to the ongoing works at what is referred to as the new Plaza del Orche. These restrictions are expected to remain in effect for approximately four months.

The Councillor for Infrastructure, Javier Rivero, stated yesterday that “vehicles wishing to access 25 de Julio Avenue should do so from Méndez Núñez, via Pi and Margall or Viera and Clavijo streets, as the current works and the storage of materials and machinery necessitate the occupation of the complete La Rambla area between Pérez de Rozas and Robayna streets, which is the specific site of the ongoing operations.

Consequently, parking spaces located on the right bank of Rambla 25 de Julio towards Plaza de Los Patos will be temporarily reserved.
