SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Nov. 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 72-year-old paraglider sustained moderate injuries following an incident in Montaña de Taucho, located in the municipality of Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The occurrence took place on Monday afternoon in the aforementioned area, where the Tenerife Firefighters attempted to gain access; however, they were unable to reach the location of the accident. Consequently, members of the rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) arrived at the scene, attending to the paraglider and subsequently evacuating him to the fire brigade helipad in Adeje.
At this location, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) awaited him, and the medical personnel confirmed that the man suffered from moderate trauma. He was then transported by ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Local Police officers also responded to the scene and assisted the emergency services, alongside members of the Civil Guard who oversaw the necessary procedures.
