The Local Police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have apprehended two individuals suspected of stealing nearly thirty bottles of alcoholic drinks from a kiosk at Las Teresitas beach.
As reported by the police this Thursday, the arrested individuals have been named as JPP, aged 19, and FCBM, aged 35. They were discovered as they had just broken into one of the kiosks situated on Las Teresitas beach.
This intervention occurred at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday when the Communications Room of the Local Police received an alert concerning an alarm activation in one of the kiosks at Las Teresitas beach.
A police unit promptly arrived at the location, whereupon the officers noticed two men in the process of carrying a container.
When they noticed the police, both men attempted to conceal themselves and subsequently fled on foot into the depths of the beach, prompting a pursuit by the officers.
Upon reaching the premises of the former fishermen’s brotherhood restaurant, they were intercepted and taken into custody.
The container was found to hold thirty bottles of alcoholic drinks and soft beverages. The officers contacted the property owner to inform him of the incident.
The manager confirmed that security footage showed two hooded figures entering the establishment, and upon a visual inspection, it was discovered that an access door had been forcibly opened using a metal object.
The apprehended individuals were then taken to a medical facility and subsequently moved to police headquarters, where they are being held for the relevant judicial authority.
