Dual Forest Fire Incidents Ignite in Guía de Isora

Forestry teams from the Tenerife Cabildo are active this Wednesday in combating two fire outbreaks that were reported around 3:00 p.m. in the Tágara region, within the municipality of Guía de Isora.

Given that the area is deemed hard to reach, efforts are being supported by a helicopter from the Tenerife Cabildo and four fire engines – three light units and one heavy unit – from the Brifor operation. Additionally, the GES helicopter of the Canary Islands Government has been alerted to assist in the firefighting operations, according to sources from the Cabildo.

One of the interventions is taking place in the Tágara pine forest area, while the other is positioned beneath Teresme Mountain, also impacting a pine forest.

In total, the response team comprises around 20 individuals, including personnel from the Brifor operation along with members of the Teide National Park, who have joined the efforts.
