SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 19 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A man has sustained severe injuries after falling in the hard-to-reach region of Chinamada, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon, prompting the rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands to be dispatched to the scene, where they evacuated the individual and provided initial assistance before transporting him to Tenerife North Airport.
Upon arrival at the airport, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) confirmed that the victim had suffered serious multiple traumas and subsequently conveyed him in a medicalised ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
Members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium were also present at the scene, assisting in managing the situation.
