Las Teresitas Beach Reopens After Water Contamination Concerns Are Resolved

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through its Public Services, Health and Environmental Sustainability department, announced on Wednesday the reopening of sectors 5 to 8 of Las Teresitas beach, which had been closed the previous Tuesday due to water contamination.

The Municipal Operational Coordination Centre (Cecopal) of the city council stated on its profile that the green flag had been raised.

The Health Inspection and Laboratory Service of the Tenerife Health Area within the Canarian Health Service (SCS) communicated the results of the analyses on Wednesday, which indicated normal parameters.

The Council reminds that municipal personnel collect water samples and perform regular checks to ensure that Las Teresitas beach maintains appropriate cleanliness, hygiene and safety conditions, making it suitable for bathers.
