A 60-year-old woman has tragically passed away after being rescued from the sea exhibiting signs of drowning in Tenerife.
At 2:37 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting that bystanders had rescued a woman from the water displaying signs of drowning and that she was in cardiac arrest, prompting the initiation of resuscitation efforts on the beach.
The 112 service promptly activated the requisite emergency resources.

GES rescuers transported the affected woman to the nearby Benijo beach where the SUC medical helicopter had landed, and medical personnel continued advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts but were regrettably unsuccessful, confirming her death.
The teams deployed at the incident site cooperated in managing the situation.
A rescue helicopter, Tenerife Firefighters, the Canarian Emergency Service with a medical helicopter, Beach Rescue, Maritime Rescue, Local Police, National Police, and the Civil Guard were all involved in the operation.
