SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 8 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, declared on Friday that from January onwards, tourist coaches will be forbidden from entering the Anaga massif to enhance mobility and access to this natural area.
This announcement was made during an extraordinary plenary session, where she highlighted that “this is a long-awaited measure by the residents” and that it will be implemented alongside the development, in collaboration with the La Laguna City Council, of a preventive parking facility in the Las Canteras zone.
She further indicated that this will serve as an initial step towards improving mobility in the region and that it will ultimately lead, in the medium term, to “restricting and limiting” private vehicle access, encouraging visitors to use shuttle buses in conjunction with park and ride facilities to reach Anaga.
