Helicopter Rescue for Woman Injured in Santiago del Teide Fall

A 54-year-old woman has sustained moderate injuries following a fall in the El Molledo area, located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide (Tenerife), as reported by the 1-1 Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of the Canary Islands.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, prompting firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium to arrive at the scene. They provided initial assistance and immobilised the injured individual.

Subsequently, personnel from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) helicopter of the Government of the Canary Islands disembarked from the aircraft. Alongside the firefighters, they executed the rescue operation, lifting her onto the helicopter to transport her to the Adeje Volunteer Firefighters helipad.

Her injuries were later assessed by staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), who determined that the woman had moderate injuries without any complications, leading to her transfer to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

Local police officers also responded to the situation, assisting with the rescue operation alongside other emergency resources present at the scene.
