The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a five-year prison term for an individual accused of selling cocaine and crack, in addition to a suspended sentence for similar offences, provided he refrains from committing any crime for a two-year period.
As outlined in the indictment, law enforcement officials apprehended the man while he was conducting a cocaine transaction for cash, leading to the seizure of 19 bags, one of which weighed nearly a gram and had a purity of 76%.
Furthermore, he was in possession of 18 packets of crack cocaine, weighing close to two grams and boasting a purity of 87%, along with 450 euros believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade of this substance.
The assessment conducted suggests that the drug’s sale could have generated a market value of 102 euros in the illegal trade.
During the trial anticipated for next week, the Public Ministry will advocate for a charge concerning public health violations due to substances that inflict serious harm, as stipulated in the Penal Code.
