The Tenerife Fairgrounds will host the ‘XXXII Monographic of Presa Canario’ on the 9th and 10th of November, an event organised by the Spanish Club of Presa Canario, in partnership with the Cabildo of Tenerife.
The Minister of Industry and vice president of the Tenerife fair institution, Manuel Fernández, unveiled this initiative alongside the president of the Spanish Club of Presa Canario, José Manuel López.
Fernández emphasised that “this occasion has become significant in recent years, evolving into the largest event nationally and internationally for the Presa Canario breed.”
Both Fernández and José Manuel López described this type of initiative as “highly important tools” as they serve as a means of promotion that aids in “the conservation of the species,” noting that “this is an event where attendees can engage with one of the symbols of our culture and heritage.”
The president of the Spanish Club of Presa Canario, José Manuel López, urged the public to participate in this monograph “so that they can experience ‘potentially affectionate dogs,'” and announced that “on Sunday, November 10, there will be an exhibition showcasing how the Presa Canarios are trained to ensure people’s safety.”
A total of 150 Presa Canario specimens will be featured in this event, which will take place over 4,000 square metres of exhibition area in the multipurpose hall of the Fairgrounds.
