La Laguna has unveiled a new exclusive area for pets, a space spanning 900 square metres dedicated to dogs’ recreation. This dog park, situated within the Las Mantecas Technological and Scientific Park, aims to provide a suitable and secure outdoor venue where families can take their dogs for enjoyable walks and interact socially with other canines.
The new facility has been strategically positioned adjacent to the children’s play and exercise zone, making the most of the natural benefits of the surrounding environment. The substantial ficus trees that have been planted will offer shade, fostering a more comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
The park is enclosed by a 1.5-metre high fence to ensure adequate safety. Furthermore, it features two access points located in opposite corners, facilitating a smoother flow of entry and exit for users.
Its establishment is a direct outcome of a request put forward by the local residents.
“This area will enhance community bonds by serving as a gathering point where families can enjoy moments with their furry companions,” remarked Fran Hernández, the Councilor for Municipal Services of the San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council.
