Agents from the National Police have apprehended a 23-year-old male in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as part of an initiative targeting the exploitation of minors and associated offences.
This individual had previously been detained in November 2023 for possession and distribution of child pornography.
During the apprehension, a mobile device was confiscated, which, when examined under a court order, revealed data that provided sufficient evidence to establish the alleged involvement in the offences of possession, distribution, and production of child pornography, sexual provocation, and corrupting minors.
The individual in custody was presented to the relevant judicial authority, along with the reports and the corresponding digital analysis, and the judge ordered provisional detention without bail.
The National Police are continuing to scrutinise the contents of the devices and conduct the necessary investigative actions to fully elucidate the incidents, according to the police force.
The efforts are centred on identifying the largest possible number of victims, with four already having been definitively recognised.
