Severe Car Crash in Arona Leaves Woman Fighting for Her Life

A 52-year-old woman is in a critical state following cardiorespiratory arrest and severe multiple injuries from a head-on collision between two vehicles in Arona.

The incident took place at around 4:45 a.m. on Monday when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received a notification concerning a head-on crash between two cars on Avenida El Palmar.

Following the collision, a 63-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries to her chest.

Upon their arrival at the scene, firefighters secured the damaged cars, one of which was overturned, and rescued the individuals trapped inside due to the impact.

Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assessed and treated the two injured women and, upon confirming that one was in cardiopulmonary arrest, successfully performed advanced resuscitation techniques on her.

After being stabilised, she was taken to La Candelaria Hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.

The Local Police prepared the necessary report.
