Calatrava Unveils Exciting Plans for Auditorium Revamp This Month

Yesterday, the Cabildo, represented by the insular director of the Treasury, Juan Carlos Pérez Frías, confirmed that architect Santiago Calatrava “will submit the renovation plan for the Auditorium of Tenerife this November,” a commitment he has made. Additionally, “to prevent further postponements of the restoration of this iconic structure,” and in light of the renowned Valencian architect’s decision to decline the project’s management, a credit adjustment was approved yesterday to allocate one million euros, ensuring that rehabilitation can finally commence. The expenses related to this contract will directly fall on the project’s author and will not ultimately be covered by the insular corporation.
