The Cabildo of Tenerife is mobilising a team of 18 firefighters to assist with rescue operations following the severe weather event that struck the Community of Valencia yesterday, Tuesday.
This was declared by the Cabildo president, Rosa Dávila, who conveyed her heartfelt condolences and solidarity “in light of this genuine tragedy that has impacted the entire nation.”
Rosa Dávila stated that all accessible aid has been coordinated with the Government of the Canary Islands, dispatching a contingent of 18 personnel across two Fire Departments, alongside a drone unit and a water rescue team.
“We reaffirm our total readiness to assist in any capacity and extend our sympathies and support to those affected and, by extension, to the entire Valencian Community,” the island president remarked.
Currently, the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium is awaiting a response from the Valencian Community to mobilise the specified resources and proceed to Valencia as swiftly as possible.
