TLP Tenerife, in collaboration with the Cabildo of Tenerife, is launching the inaugural edition of the TLP Indie Awards, aimed at celebrating creativity, innovation, and talent within the independent video game industry.
This competition, scheduled for the July event, is set to be among the most prestigious awards dedicated to this sector, even surpassing established accolades like the Independent Games Festival (IGF) in San Francisco, which is the foremost event for independent developers in the USA.
The first edition of the TLP Indie Awards will take place from July 15 to 20, 2025 at the Tenerife Fairgrounds. This contest will unite video game creators from across the nation and will present a prize of 15,000 euros to the winner in the category of best indie video game, the highest sum awarded in Spain. In addition to this accolade, the TLP Indie Awards will encompass other categories, with guidelines and specifics to be unveiled in the coming months.
