Flames Erupt Following Series of Crashes on TF-5

Personnel from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, stationed at the La Laguna park, intervened on Thursday morning in a vehicle fire that took place on the northern highway (TF-5), close to the Los Angeles Airport, heading towards Santa Cruz.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operations centre received a report of a rear-end collision involving three vehicles on the TF-5, although no individuals were trapped.

Cecoes promptly activated the requisite emergency resources, and health personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), along with Fire Department members, the Civil Guard, and staff from the Cabildo’s Road Maintenance Service, were dispatched to the site.

Upon arrival, the firefighters confirmed that one of the vehicles was ablaze and another was in close proximity, with its front section affected by the flames. They proceeded to extinguish the fire. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported from the incident, only material damage, and traffic disruptions were noted in the area.
