Officers from the Civil Guard’s Main Post in Candelaria, Tenerife, have apprehended two men and a woman, aged 45, 71 and 44, respectively, who reside in the area, on suspicion of committing a burglary and minor assault.
The incidents unfolded when the victim, who lived in the property, notified the Civil Guard regarding an alleged theft at his residence located in Candelaria, prompting the officers to promptly respond to the scene.
Upon arriving at the residence, the officers noted the broken entrance door and various articles of clothing and personal items scattered across the street. They confirmed that the three suspects had indeed entered the home by force while the resident was present, and that one of them had allegedly assaulted the victim, resulting in minor injuries such as bruising.
According to the information gathered from both parties involved, the officers reported that the motive for the break-in was linked to unpaid rent for the property in question, as explained by the Civil Guard.
