Tenerife Seeks Increased State Support to Combat Gender-Based Violence

The Government of Spain is called upon to enhance the funding for the elements of the State Pact with the Councils, aimed at the prevention, protection, and support for victims of gender violence, including both women and children (vicarious violence). This constitutes the sixth of seven points within the framework of the proposal being put forth by the Canarian Coalition and the Popular Party, the political entities that comprise the governing coalition in the Cabildo of Tenerife. This proposal is set for discussion in the Social Action commission prior to the plenary session occurring next Thursday, the 31st.
