The Sunday Consumption Vouchers went on sale this Friday morning and were completely sold out in just five minutes. This was reported by the mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, who remarked that “once again, the success of this initiative is affirmed. The community has astonished us with their swift response, depleting a total of 500 vouchers in a mere matter of minutes, even exceeding the times of previous weeks.”
In this regard, Bermúdez pointed out that “the 500 vouchers that were available today signify an influx of over 12,000 euros for the 47 businesses involved in the initiative.” “The Sunday Vouchers are priced at 7.50 euros and can be used for purchases up to 25 euros, which presents a very appealing offer for the 254 individuals who were able to secure these vouchers, as well as an incentive for all the commerce in our locality,” he added.
Similarly, the Chief Executive of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, stated that the vouchers obtained today can only be redeemed this Sunday, October 20. “Each individual has the option to buy a maximum of two vouchers weekly and up to six throughout the entire campaign, which will run until the final weekend of October and the second weekend of November,” she explained.
“This Sunday, coinciding with the celebration of the Canarias Surf Film Festival, individuals who have purchased a Sunday Consumption Voucher will be able to redeem it at one of the 47 participating businesses for this weekend. Furthermore, they will enjoy a comprehensive programme of events associated with this captivating film festival, which will also enliven the streets of our municipality with workshops, music, and entertainment,” she highlighted.
‘Hello, Sunday’ originated from a participatory approach that involved consultations with the sector. The initiative targets both the local residents and tourists, including cruise passengers and visitors to the city. It is a project grounded in governance, inter-administrative and institutional collaboration, and support for the sector, aimed at fostering new strategies for the economic and commercial advancement of Santa Cruz. The initiative aligns with the Commerce Master Plan (axis 4 Dynamisation and promotion of consumption) and the Strategic Tourism Plan of the city (axis 3 Product and destination marketing).
Individuals interested in acquiring Sunday Consumption Vouchers will have the opportunity to do so next Friday, October 25, starting at 10:00 a.m. on the website www.holadomingo.com, where they can also find information on participating commercial establishments. Each individual will be able to purchase a maximum of two weekly vouchers and six throughout the entire campaign.
