The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is actively pursuing the individual, or individuals, responsible for the recent spate of arson incidents involving 30 rubbish bins across the city within a 24-hour timeframe.
This extraordinary circumstance, as highlighted today by NOTICE DIARY, commenced on the 16th, according to Benito Fortes, spokesperson for the Local Police during an interview on Televisión Canaria: “The initial incident took place in Ofra, specifically on Elías Bacallado street. Since then, a total of 30 incidents have been documented within just 24 hours.”
Fortes acknowledged that three vehicles parked in proximity to the ignited bins have also been harmed. The latest intervention occurred late yesterday afternoon, with no further incidents reported the following morning.
As for the identity of those behind these acts, sources close to the investigation suggest that the perpetrators may be the same individuals. The large-scale and perilous nature of the attacks has been taken with utmost seriousness, prompting officials to urge residents to share any pertinent information.
