In their efforts to prevent crime, officers from the National Police apprehended three individuals last September in a lively nightlife area in southern Tenerife. They successfully caught two drug traffickers in separate incidents, leading to the arrests of individuals involved in the distribution of illegal substances.
The initial operation occurred when the police noticed a man seemingly engaged in a drug deal with a woman. Upon becoming aware of the police presence, the suspect attempted to escape, seeking refuge in a nearby cannabis club. The woman was apprehended, and the illicit substance she had obtained was confiscated. Knowing the location of the suspected seller, the officers established a surveillance operation that resulted in his arrest for alleged drug trafficking offences.
During the same operation, the police caught a pair of tourists attempting to organise a visit to a hostess club in the vicinity. They witnessed the tourists handing over several notes to an individual, who then contacted the manager of the establishment. Following the monetary exchange, two packages believed to contain cocaine were given to them.
In light of these developments, the National Police proceeded to arrest both the individual involved in the transaction and the manager of the hostess club for their suspected roles in drug trafficking.
A search of the premises led to the discovery of several packages containing 8 grams of cocaine, 8 grams of crack cocaine, and 669 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics.
Following the conclusion of both operations, the individuals taken into custody were handed over to the relevant judicial authorities for suspected drug trafficking offences.
The National Police, committed to combating organised crime, continues its efforts to dismantle any form of drug distribution in the south of Tenerife.
