The Palm Mar residential area is increasingly resembling another Veronicas, according to some local residents and property owners, who claim they are being “compelled” to endure disruptive gatherings every night. The issue escalated following the establishment of a tourist facility, specifically an aparthotel. Since that opening, residents of Palm Mar have reported incessant disturbances, ranging from daytime and nighttime noise, excessive drinking, altercations, litter accumulation in the streets, and late-night parties, which have become the new normal in an area where, according to the El Palm-Mar Urban Planning, tourist use was not intended.

The technical office of the Arona City Council has indicated that the site housing the aparthotel is designated for collective housing.
