SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 September (EUROPA PRESS) – A kayak, carrying 81 migrants, has reached San Miguel Marina on the island of Tenerife under its own power, according to reports from the Emergency Coordination Centre and Security of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The vessel made its arrival during the night on Sunday, and upon reaching San Miguel Marina, the migrants received assistance from the health teams in the region, comprised of personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and the Red Cross.
Following the aid provided, one of the migrants needed to be transferred to a hospital.
