Six individuals aged between 19 and 22 have sustained injuries, one of whom is in critical condition, following a road traffic incident that took place this Sunday on the Autopista del Norte (TF-5), at the entry to Santa Cruz. This was reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident happened shortly after half five in the morning, when the 1-1-2 control centre received an alert indicating that a vehicle had overturned on the road leading to the capital of Tenerife from the TF-5.
Cecoes promptly mobilised emergency services, dispatching a medical ambulance along with three basic life support ambulances from the SUC, Tenerife Firefighters, Local Police, Civil Guard, and staff from the Road Maintenance Service to the scene.
Upon arrival of the emergency responders, they found all occupants of the vehicle outside. The firefighters then took responsibility for securing the vehicle and clearing the roadway.
Personnel from the SUC provided assistance to the six individuals, with one suffering severe injuries, three with moderate injuries, and two others with minor injuries. They subsequently facilitated their transfer to various mentioned healthcare facilities.
Officers from the police conducted the necessary reporting and managed traffic on the roadway.
