SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 49-year-old man sustained severe injuries after being struck by a 56-year-old motorcyclist, who also incurred moderate injuries, on Avenida Tres de Mayo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, according to details provided by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre.
The incident took place on the TF-1 road, at the intersection with Avenida Tres de Mayo in the aforementioned locality, at 01:43 hours on Tuesday. Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) promptly arrived at the location and attended to the pedestrian, who had sustained a serious injury to his lower limb. Consequently, he was transported by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
They also provided assistance to the motorcyclist, who, at the time of initial care, was reported to have moderate injuries and was therefore taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
Officers from the Local Police also reached the accident site, prepared the relevant report, and managed traffic on the road.
