The Tenerife Island Council has announced that the blaze which ignited shortly before 4:00 p.m. in the Araca ravine, located in an interface area close to the Igueste de Candelaria cemetery, is now under control, according to sources from the authority speaking to Europa Press.
The fire has impacted an area of approximately 1,000 square metres, primarily affecting ‘rabo de gato’ and tunera. In response, two high mobility tactical vehicles (Vamtac), along with personnel from Brifor, the Tenerife Fire Department, and the Local Police, have been deployed to the location.
