SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, is set to journey to Cape Verde next Friday for a high-level official meeting with key representatives of the African nation, aimed at enhancing commercial and cooperative relations between the two archipelagos.
This information was shared with the press by government spokesperson, Alfonso Cabello, during a press conference discussing the agreements made by the Government Council, where he outlined that this marks the seventh high-level summit between the territories.
The discussions will centre around “exciting projects” that leverage the “distinct qualities” of Cape Verde and the Canary Islands to support enterprises on the islands or various educational initiatives, particularly in Vocational Training.
Cabello further informed that Clavijo will also participate in the conference of maritime regions taking place in Malta next Monday, where he intends to advocate for the sustainable development model of the Canary Islands in tourism, in front of approximately 550 regional officials from 24 nations.
