The City Council of Santiago del Teide has initiated the tender process for the construction of 8 social housing units in the district of Arguayo. This project is funded by the initiative to combat depopulation in rural areas, as part of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025 and the Insular Activa Vivienda 2024 Programme from the Island Council of Tenerife.
The estimated contract value is €1,334,344.82, with an execution period of 10 months. Bids can be submitted via the Public Sector Contracting Platform until 5:00 p.m. on 9 October.
The initiative entails the construction of a total of 8 semi-detached social housing units, which are divided into two phases. Phase I includes units numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4, while Phase II comprises units numbered 5, 6, 7, and 8. The development is situated on Calle El Amparo s/n, adjacent to the TF-375.
Mayor Emilio Navarro emphasises that “we continuously respond to the requests of our residents. Therefore, we have taken the lead in this matter, particularly regarding housing, which is crucial and fundamental today. We have initiated the tender for the construction of 8 social housing units in Arguayo, aiming to provide housing solutions for families within our municipality.”
