The town of La Laguna is gearing up to celebrate, on November 23, one of the most iconic and anticipated occasions in the leisure and retail calendar of the Archipelago: La Noche en Blanco. This event has successfully established itself not only as a significant driver of commercial recovery but also as a grand celebration of culture and traditions, attracting thousands from across the Canary Islands as well as national and international visitors.
This eagerly awaited date was announced this afternoon by the Councillor for Commerce and Tourism of the La Laguna City Council, Estefanía Díaz, during the White Night Forum held at the Mutua Tinerfeña venue, in the presence of a wide array of local representatives, including merchants from the municipality, associations connected to disability, and representatives from youth, community, and cultural groups.
“White Night is intended for everyone, so we aimed to include as many voices as possible,” she remarked, emphasising that “this celebration transcends boundaries, with various establishments significantly increasing their bookings in the days prior, as it is one of the most anticipated events for businesses, restaurants, bars, and cafés, where their feedback and recommendations are crucial in planning the commercial revitalisation activities.”
For Díaz, “La Noche en Blanco has proven to be not only a catalyst for local commerce but also a gathering that strengthens our social and cultural fabric. This collaborative effort with merchants, associations, and community groups will be vital to the edition’s success, ensuring a schedule that caters to all audiences. A blend of tradition and innovation adapted to contemporary necessities and societal demands, ensuring no one is excluded.”
In conclusion, Estefanía Díaz expressed that “this November 23 is set to be a focal point for coexistence, enjoyment, and the economic, cultural, and social revitalisation of La Laguna. The city is already making preparations to welcome thousands of individuals who will enliven the streets, collectively celebrating this night that has secured a cherished position in the heart of the Canary Islands.”
