Early in the morning, bathers at Teresitas beach were alerted to a deceased specimen, prompting notification to local authorities for collection and examination of the remains.
The Santa Cruz Local Police has shared an image on social media depicting the dead creature, “which appears to be a manta ray.”
This specimen was discovered along the shore near access 3 of the beach.
