The sports facility Barranco de Santos in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will temporarily close from Monday, September 16 due to a series of renovations aimed at enhancing this location in anticipation of a new tender.
Once the current concession expires, the Sports Department of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council will conduct various refurbishment and enhancement activities through a minor works contract, preparing the facility for the upcoming tender.
At present, the technical team from the Sports Service, led by Councillor Alicia Cebrián, is evaluating and identifying which areas can be improved. These renovations will coincide with the tendering process, ensuring that once it concludes, the works will also be completed. During this period, there may be partial access to certain areas like the football pitch.

This minor project aims to renovate the Barranco de Santos sports complex by enhancing the sports facilities, installing aerothermal systems in the changing rooms, and incorporating photovoltaic panels to boost energy efficiency while being environmentally friendly.
Finally, assessments will also be made regarding the replacement of the football pitch carpet and any necessary fencing, alongside other elements that may come to light during the evaluation of this facility in Santa Cruz.
