This year, the island is set to provide 8,100 spots for social and healthcare services, following the approval by the island’s Governing Council for a contribution exceeding 3.2 million euros towards the Dependency agreement ratified by the Cabildo in collaboration with the Canary Islands Government. This funding will help finance 418 new placements aimed at individuals with autism, psychogeriatric needs, and behavioural disorders, along with residential facilities and day centres across various municipalities. This sixth addendum marks an increase of 5.44% for this year for a service budget that will approach 128 million euros during the same timeframe. The regional Government will contribute 2,327,000 euros, while the island Corporation will provide 876,000 euros.
