SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 12 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tenerife Island Council, via its Sports department, has commenced enrolment for the ninth edition of ‘Tenerife Urban Dance’.
The island entity promotes this occasion as the pinnacle of the ‘Tenerife Urban Programme’, which has been highlighting various urban sports styles across different municipalities on the island.
The Minister of Sports, Yolanda Moliné, revealed in a statement that ‘Tenerife Urban Dance 2024’ is scheduled to take place on the 24th of November at the Santiago Martín Pavilion, with expectations of over 500 participants spanning all age groups.
Moliné emphasises that this is “an urban dance competition that has solidified its status as a leading event in the archipelago, having seen participation from 498 dancers in 39 choreographic groups from Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, La Palma, and Tenerife in the previous edition.”
Admission to the event is complimentary, with attendance permitted until the upper limit of approximately 2,500 attendees is reached.
The various participating categories include children, juniors, absolute, couples, and megacrew.

In a noteworthy addition for this edition, the top contenders in each category will be awarded free registration for one of the premier urban dance events in the country, Urban Display 2025.
