Traffic in the vicinity of the Padre Anchieta roundabout in La Laguna will be altered once more this Thursday, 12th September, commencing at 8:00 p.m.. This adjustment pertains to the Assembly of formwork and the third module of the pedestrian walkway.
The operation will necessitate the closure of both lanes of the specified roundabout on Thursday from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and on Friday, 13th September, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Consequently, the following diversions will be implemented: access from TF-5 to TF-24 and Astrofísico Francisco Sánchez street via Lora and Tamayo – Mayber street – Camino San Miguel de Geneto – Domingo González Pérez street – TF-265 or El Coromoto.
The Tenerife Island Council urges motorists to heed the guidance of road personnel and comply with all signage in the vicinity, while also taking meticulous safety precautions.
The date for Padre Anchieta’s new walkway has been confirmed
The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, has verified that the completion of the Grand Pedestrian Ring of Padre Anchieta is scheduled for April 2025.
The assembly of the second module of the walkway took place on Monday, 9th September, and work on the third module is set to commence on Thursday. The installation of modules 6, 7, 8, and 9 is anticipated for October.
“The ring structure is expected to be completed by the end of November with the installation of modules 10 and 11, although the ramp connected to Trinidad Avenue, the access to the Interchange, and the loop will still require attention,” explained Dávila.
