The Canary Islands have recorded fifty-seven wildfires this year across the islands of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma. In addition to these, there has been a single wildfire incident, which occurred on 17 August in the Fataga ravine within the Gran Canarian municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and it was contained within just one day.
