The Staff Committee of the Santa Cruz City Council has recommended the termination of the Director General of Social Policies, María del Pilar Rodríguez, citing “ineffectual management” in her domain.
The unions, with the exception of CSIF, which has distanced itself from the matter, assert that “the agreements made on 25 July with the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, are not being honoured and are adversely impacting the staff of the Municipal Institute of Social Care (IMAS) and, as a result, the most disadvantaged individuals in the municipality whom they assist.”
The Staff Board, which convened last Wednesday, reported that the RPT for Social Care has yet to be negotiated; the technical gathering for the adjustments of this RPT remains unorganised, and there have been no enhancements in safety measures within the UTS.
